Mining and infrastructure solutions company Orica has turned to Dayforce, Ceridian’s flagship cloud human capital management (HCM) platform, to optimise payroll and improve regulatory compliance.

Featuring single data architecture, the Dayforce platform will help Orica bring together global disparate systems such as managed payroll and workforce management to offer a holistic cloud HCM experience.

Following a period of organic growth and global acquisitions, Orica has been seeking a complete solution to unify its staff.

With a workforce of more than 12,500 across 47 nations, Orica plans to use the cloud platform to enable future growth through one system for timely payroll.

The solution is also said to help the miner meet compliance across various geographies.

Ceridian Australia and New Zealand managing director Brian Donn said: “In today’s ever-changing world of work, Ceridian’s momentum in Australia and New Zealand continues to grow as organisations choose Dayforce to inform HR decision-making and drive operational efficiencies.

“Dayforce will help Orica streamline global people processes, deliver a world-class employee experience, and support strategic decision-making through real-time workforce data and analytics.”

Orica has teamed up with Deloitte for guidance through the selection process on a solution that could address the complexity and diversity of its global operations, as well as for global payroll knowledge.

To support the implementation of Dayforce, business management consultant Think Best Practice will work alongside Orica, Deloitte, and Ceridian.

Deloitte workforce and payroll solutions advisory lead Mark Bateson said: “Orica requires a solution that can match the complexity and diversity of their global business, and through this process Orica found Dayforce’s complete cloud HCM suite to be the best product to meet those needs.”
